[UPDATE] Tyson Fury Lays the “SmackDown” on “Monday Night Raw”

It was only a matter of time before Tyson Fury made his WWE debut. The lineal heavyweight champion has a personality as big as his 6’9 250+ pound frame, talks enough smack to be on SmackDown, and already has a catchy nickname that “wrassling” crowds can pronounce when they hurl obscenities.

Fury topped social media timelines over the weekend when he made a “surprise” appearance on FOX’s SmackDown last Friday night. The undefeated Fury, who last seen going 12-rounds with Otto Wallin, got called out by Braun Strowman, who had just won an eight-man battle royale and wanted a piece of the “Gypsy King.”

Fury, who had to be “restrained” by security, then appeared on last night’s WWE’s Monday Night Raw and threw some “air” hands that may have not connected in reality, but had boxing Twitter bugging out.

Internet rumors are buzzing that this is a set-up (surprise) that will lead to the two large men settling their differences at a pay-per-view event this month in Saudi Arabia. So why would Fury, who is in line for a mega-million payday for a sequel with Deontay Wilder, risk getting hurt in the ring with a man dubbed “A Monster Among Men?” Well, the master marketer is playing the long game in promoting his next “real fight.”
